For those that are interested, there is a group on FB called Convid-19 Profiteers. It is designed to name & shame shops etc who are blatantly profiteering & get them reported to the CMA.(Competition & Markets Authority). Its this Dept who can prosecute shops, NOT Trading Standards.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Doubling price for additional item may be official solution for some essential items. One pack of mince £4. Second will be £8. Third £16. So 3 pack of mince will cost £28 Not good news for the shops. Additional cost should go to charity for Covid.. Good in theory, i know not easy for practice..

Shops could do with generously proportioned 'Sergeant Majors' with booming voices, patrolling the aisles and berating all those who are stockpiling. We need a Hong Kong-style police force, but obviously without the virus bit.
I disengage, I turn the page. |

If such abhorrent behaviour persists, it will be the time for tough as ball bearing 'Sergeant Major' types, stern in appearance with high-decibel voices, booming down the aisles and taking swift and decisive action against those who continue to ignore Government advice. Sainsbury’s charge £5.50 a kilo of chicken breast so 10 kg for £60 is not a massive rip off. Surely the guy buying the whole box is the person that should be questioned here

Those Muslim butchers are cheaper (I’ve only bought mutton there a couple of times years ago) so it would be less than Sainsbury’s but I agree with what you said.
