A friend’s sister is an actress and was appearing in a play touring the north of Scotland. Playing a church hall in front of about 100 people she noticed a striking looking man in the front row who turned out to be Robert Plant.

When Bonn Scott died through drink around 1979 AC/DC needed a new singer one of them remembered seeing a singer with an early 1970s band called Geordie who had a huge voice when they saw him on stage he went into spazams and rolled around the floor on stage jerking and screaming. The crowd went crazy his name was Brian Johnson and he got the gig as the new singer. Years later Brian revealed that night AC/DC saw him he had a burst appendix and was in complete agony.

One of the owners of the house Bon came out of (Bon died in his car parked outside the house), they've put a copy-cat Blue Plaque by the porch.

And Status Quo came from Forest Hill. They used to practice and do gigs in the Territorial Army hall close to the Horniman museum, and about half a mile from Bon Scott's Blue Plaque house
