Gatwick considering completely closing 1 Terminal

I have perused that Gatwick Airport have made 200 job cuts with managers taking a 20% pay-cut.
The job cuts affected staff on temporary fixed-term contracts and contractors.

I will not be surprised to hear of some airlines ceasing operations at Gatwick.
Ramifications of course on the plethora of hotels at and in the surrounds of the airport.

Bloody Ryanair won't cancel flights until a couple of days before they are due to take off.

We are due to fly to Lanzarote in two weeks time and Ryanair are still insisting that the flights might go ahead even though we all know that it won't

I booked a villa in Kefalonia for a week at the end of May and paid £300 deposit. I need to pay the balance next week which comes to £1,500 but as I doubt whether the holiday will take place it might be easier to just write off the deposit that I paid

Aren't you supposed to be on lockdown at your age anyway, old man?

Mine was cancelled 2 days before we were due to fly (today).

A word of warning a friend had a trip to the Maaldives due next week she panicked and cancelled it before the FCO advice changed. She may get some money back but if she had just waited until this week she would have got 100%.

So my advice is sit tight until the last minute and hopefully they will blink and cancel.

Update

Just found this travel advice in the mail.
