Legally unless the season is finished, I don't see how they can crown Liverpool Champions. If they did they would have to relegate those currently in those positions.

The Premier league could (rightly) in my opinion have it's ass's sued by all of the bottom clubs for loss of revenue, that would run into 100's of millions if not more.

The only fair way (if the season can't be completed) is to void the whole season and start again. It's s***, but if doing so saves one life then it has to be worth it.

Bill Shankly and thousands of them up there disagree but I don’t.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Season should restart when it can and continue to its conclusion. If this means that the summer tours are replaced by the last 10 games of this season, then so be it. If the ban on football lasts beyond the summer, then play the remaining 10 games at the start of next season, hope for a mild winter, and start the new season late. The Euros may have to be cancelled until a later date. Maybe the League Cup not played to help accommodate the fixture pile up. But we should try and get this season finished 'in full'.

hats off to palace, they were always gonna be louder, and hate to say it but they were impressive ALL bouncing and singing.

Agree. We may find out how much EUFA cares about football and not euros in money if cancelling next season’s champions league is sensible to get this and next season done. I expect our 4 games more than everyone else will come up.

Also, if next season has to be one game between each team because the length of the season is so short then so be it. Football may find that people aren’t needing it as much any more if next season doesn’t get off the ground.

Agreed. If this season is not complete the Pl will open its self up to all sorts of lawsuits and not just from disgruntled clubs and fans. There are TV companies and sponsors etc.

This may impact on next season but the advantage is that before a ball is kicked new rules can be agreed which should negate any lawsuits for that up coming season.

Finish what you started and then see what needs to happen next.

Here is a premiership solution, each team puts a goalkeeper and one player forward who have been cleared and then each match left takes 4 penalties and the result is the score, 4-4, 3-1 etc and points are awarded, this happens behind closed doors, televised. at least the season could be completed in one day, and there is some skill, no ideal but we have Luka

If the Euro's are cancelled then this could be the ideal opportunity to bring the season in line with World Cup in 2022.
Finish this season off September/October and then have a break from November to January and start the new season.
I have no idea how we can realign afterwards though.

Why is there no rule about this scenario?
That's my question.
These rule makers dropped the ball here.
Not one thought about a possible premature end to the football.
No matter how low the potential.

This crisis is going to go on way longer than the majority of people think. My best educated guess is the season will be abandoned and IF games can be played as soon as September then a new season will start as if this one never happened.

The combined EFL / EPL Seasons are not even remotely close to being finished. If they cant’t be completed, which is extremely unlikely then no final positions have been established, none whatsoever so nothing can be declared...promotions, relegations, champions, runners up or final positions. In that instance a null and void is the only scenario I see as the outcome.

Who else has planned for a world pandemic disease? Things like that often cost money and are usually laughed out of the room.

I read somewhere Phil that the season can be deemed 'Finished' if 75% of the games have been played?
I think UEFA meet tomorrow (Tuesday) depending on what they decide will determine what the EPL do at their meeting on Thursday.
