Grimsby was always a good laugh. That would be one of my worst, simply because of the constant smell of fish as soon as we got off the train plus it’s a s*** hole and getting stuffed 3-0 didn’t help I suppose!!

I was fortunate enough to get occasional invites to corporate hospitality at football matches. Visits to Man Ure and Arsenal were very disappointing, West Ham was good but Chelsea was sublime. As a pleb, amongst my pleasant experiences have been visits to Reading, Portsmouth and Southampton. I'd like to visit the new Spurs stadium but would it be worth the journey?

One of my favourites was Wimbledon away when they ground-shared with us. Especially the year Lombardo scored our goal in a 1-0 win the season we went a whole season without winning at home.
Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry. |

Vicarage Road - Close on the train and we take over the Wetherspoons. Normally a good atmosphere now a mini rivalry as set in. Molineux - Always liked their ground as it’s quite compact and not a bowl. Great memories of when we won in the play-off semi final. Carrow Road - Good atmosphere, friendly home fans, not too far and a nice pub by the ground (Compleat Angler)

Brentford and Narch were both good calls. Wemberleee is plush, but at the other end of the scale, a visit to Ninian Park made me think that Selhurst still had many a good year left in her.
I disengage, I turn the page. |

1) Loftus Road. Great compact away end. When not going to away games, there's a lovely shopping complex in Hove called the Goldstone Retail Park. One of the best out of town retail parks in the country as far as I'm concerned.
