Ok, im going to upset & pee probably a lot of 'PC' people off, no apologies. Whilst i applaud the powers that be for bringing this latest episode to a conclusive outcome, why do the powers tha be allow such people into this country in the 1st place? I also wonder, will all these officers who have dischared their duty according to the law, will they not be prosecuted like the NI vets from the 70's? Are the police above being prosecuted for doing their job same as the soldiers/forces personnel back then? Will vets who served in the Falklands, Bosnia, Afganistan etc also be prosecuted for 'doing their duty'? Sorry, rant over.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Looks like was wearing a fake vest, those passers-by deserve medals. Wait for the looney Liberals to demand disciplinary action be taken against the Police 9and probably demands that the passers-by are charged with assault)

As for is he a foriegn national, i accept that yes he probably was born & raised in Britain, which makes it even worse. I also would like to know, was it an asian killed or was it the white bloke in a suit pictured holding a knife as social media has pointed out? Disturbing episodes yet again.

I think you make points that lots of us have been feeling uncomfortable about.

Got his just desserts. So far 12 people stabbed. Fair play to the passers-by's the video show him still struggling and the police are saying he had a suicide (fake) vest. It's not the police job to check if he had a fake vest he started it they finished it job done, well done the police. I expect Baroness Shami is already preparing the laws suits. My thoughts tonight are with those that are injured and there love ones. As for "it" I give no more thought than I would to what I wipe off my shoe I don't need to know his name or his story. I know the press have to do their job but why give the scum the oxygen of publicity by naming them and telling their story.

No doubt instinctive in part, but also remarkably brave considering the danger they were putting themselves in.

Edited by Stirlingsays (29 Nov 2019 5.41pm) If I was PM the first thing would do is change the law on deporting suspects. I would then expel all non British subjects on the watchlist. I would have them arrested and brought before a legal tribunal the authorities would then present the evidence and the judges would decide. And to be clear they would be judged on are there good citizens who accept our democratic lifestyle. Those that are not get deported that night they are free to appeal from their home country. Not all terrorists are foreign but if we can deport those that are it should make the job of the security services easier as less people to keep under investigation. Living in this country should be a privilege and not a right and until the last few decades that was the case. In the old days the Home Secretary could say we don't like the cut of your jib your gone.

Absolutely, and if he had a real vest could he not have waited for the Police to grab him before detonating. They had an instant judgement call to make and why should they risk their lives. No doubt some will say but they could have done this or that, he was no danger, they had him etc. He was a terrorist he had already injured lots of people and appeared to be wearing an explosive vest he doesn't get the benefit of the doubt. Support your police.
