It's something to note that when this movie came out state side many far left activists on Twitter and indeed some activist journalism in general suggested that the 'incel' demographic and/or straight while males in general would go postal at Joker screenings. They labeled the movie as irresponsible and some said it pandered to white this or that....All of which was plainly ridiculous...It wasn't even doing that...but apparently Black Panther was fine to pander to black people and that's to be celebrated......double standard much. But where does the next major violence come from?...well instead it's Birmingham and 'diversity machetes' from a screening of a BBC funded movie on gangs. I note that the reaction from these same outlets is silent. In reality blaming movie makers for being irresponsible and encouraging violence from demographics is probably 99.999 percent horses***e.....and an attempt to stifle creative movie making. Thought it was great. I'm not a fan of comic book movies but followed the hype and went to see it. Thought you could easily watch it and not really know it's part of a comic as it holds up as a stand alone psychological/ thriller etc. Acting was great and the soundtrack fitted perfectly. Still can't believe it's by the same guy who did the Hangover films though!

Watched it for the second time today. Just wondering what everyone’s thoughts were? I love it. If that’s not an Oscar winning performance then I don’t know what is. I managed to avoid reading about it beforehand and as I'm not all that into comic book type movies I didn't think I'd like it. How wrong I was. Joaquin Phoenix gave a masterful performance and the morally ambiguous aspect of it all gave it substance that is rare in today's cookie cutter movie scene.
