Purely a guess but I am wondering if because this case is being tried in Australia and they have our Queen as head of state then perhaps the sub-judice rules apply over here as well? He might have another trial due to start? Some legal aracanary around the idea of Regina v ? New zealand mate, but get your drift!

It's about that one in a hundred psychopath who's always out there.....which is perhaps a higher percentage in certain situations.

I was a tad disappointed with it, was hoping for a bit more background info on the night of the shooting, rather than all the brain analysis, hope next weeks effort is better!

Unfortunately, the case is being tried in New Zealand, this happened here, but the guy who committed the murder is Australian (going by his accent), ...and although we inherited British law, one aspect we have included is name suppression for the defendant (if warranted), but why he is still kept in secret could be because he is facing other charges, at a guess.....otherwise it is odd they have not released his name, image etc...

All now freely available on t'internet 'they' are still trying to censor his name and image in the NZ media, i.e I can't find his image or name via well known local media sources ...(which is crazy)...but yeah, I have found his image and name via the net....

Hi Willard, I'm a little unclear - does the judge decide? Yeah normally it would be a court order...but to continue name suppression etc after he has been convicted, is a little strange....I'm still trying to get to the bottom of it myself...

I didn't, but when we have been around a bit we all have unfortunately seen this kind of thing many times before. Perhaps I should look for it on catch up....then again it's all a bit depressing....probably better off watching the cricket in New Zealand.....At least the weather looks hot. New zealand mate, but get your drift! Yes my mistake but I suspect that it is all probably linked to our court systems sharing some common features.
