I thought Bulgaria were pretty pathetic last night England did what they had to do. As for the racist chanting the Bulgarian manager never heard anything, what a surprise. I think the head of the Bulgarian FA before the game also denied there was a problem. For those who say we have a problem with racism in football can you imagine the head of our FA and Gareth Southgate saying those things and getting away with it? Maybe the 3 step UEAFA protocol is the way forward although if the game is abandoned they really need to punish the offending team by throwing them out of the contest and not a stupid little fine. We are way ahead of the curve in fighting racism maybe just maybe the rest of Europe is starting to wake up to it. Bulgaria are already out of the contest by virtue of there Performances. They should be thrown out of this one AND the next European Championships for it to be any kind of punishment of any worth.

Well done England on a thumping win,off the pitch time to kick Bulgaria out of all football for four years. I couldn't believe the Bulgarian manager saying he didn't hear any racist abuse,I was watching on telly and could hear it, yet he couldn't hear it pitch side. ITV should send their footage to UEFA which clearly shows Nazi salutes and monkey chants. Shutting the stadium and fining them is not enough.

Palace fans will just about watch England when they are doing well. I feel disconnected from them though, due to their big club bias. Bonkers Regarding big club bias; I think Sheff Utd, Norwich and Wolves are the only Prem clubs not to have a player called up by Southgate since he took over, so the argument just doesn’t hold up at all - Mings, Keane, Rice, Maddison, Chilwell, Callum Wilson are all regulars in the squad now, so it’s a long way from impossible.

According to the Mail at a press conference Southgate attended the Bulgarian press were denying there was a problem. I think they are where we were in the seventies. Time to grow up guys.

It seems that Alekander Ceferin, Pres of UEFA, has said that they cant do it alone & that the European govts HAVE to interciced & combat the problem 1st. Source BBC Sport. Just goes to show the powers that be in football dont care, until its England. Mark my words.

There were a lot of youngsters amongst the Bulgarian oiks and like youngsters anywhere they are always likely to be easily led into doing the wrong thing. Probably of more concern should be the fact that someone organised and paid for the "anti respect" T shirts worn by many. Who ... I wonder?

I never saw any 'anti respect' t shirts worn by anyone, i did however, see a black hoodie/sweatshirt/t shirt held aloft with the UEFA logo & the words 'No Respect' across it. England has a far worse racism problem than Bulgaria.

Probably going to stir this up a bit but want to say how I feel. Racism is of course wrong in any any form, regardless of if it’s related to football. However, last nights SKY tv coverage was pure sensationalism. There have been murders at football games which have received far less attention than last night. In the end, and as disgusting as it was, it was only name calling. Didn’t an England fan get killed last night which received no attention. The SKY reporters were falling over themselves to see who could be the most self-righteous. They were treating it like they had discovered Watergate! As I say, all racism is disgusting and those who know me offline know my own heritage. But come on, let’s have a bit of perspective.
