I would be (a lot) more concerned about younger politicians who come into Parliament with no real life experience thinking they hold the moral high ground in all situations. That's not just an issue on one side of the house either. People used to generally come into politics after a lifetime of service or a distinguished career. Now they seem to be almost entirely ideologically driven without a decent anchor in real life problems.

One study showed only 20% of 70 year olds have the same mental abilities they had at 20.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |
