Reducing damaging behaviours would also help, don't you think?

Not really.

People don't change their lifestyles outside of a few percent unless they see a material benefit to it.

As is nature....all particles tend to the lowest energy state.

It's technology and/or population reduction.....and out of the two population reduction isn't going to happen.

So it's technology or bust....little girls can cry for the media all they like.

That's the reality.

We will act too late on environmental problems that we have a hand in, and the planet will make its own re-adjustment.

Literally all you do is to come onto the site to have a moan.

It may be your reality that people don't change, but I disagree. Otherwise what's the point in anything? Science, research, new ideas are what bring about improvement. For example, see the effect of plastic bag charges on reducing their use - positive, no?

Small changes at scale can make a big difference. Not everyone is primarily motivated by materialism.

That hardly singles him out I'd say.

That’s not true, I play the prediction league too...

And anyway, there are fewer and fewer people calling you lot out on your nonsense these days.

The arrogance and ignorance of those wilfully ignoring what is happening to the planet is even more depressing then those who spend all their time worried about the plight of ‘whitey’.

Not denying that our climate is changing.
This thread title is Greta.
The kid has autism. It is a wide, probably infinite spectrum. We are all different.
She has been fed information by her parents and backers, whos views are as inflexible as those you berate on here.
She fixates on these to a greater extent because of her condition. Not comfortable watching her so emotional in front of a worldwide audience so they can score points..
I have autism. Thankfully high functioning , probably due to not being diagnosed til late in life, so having had to cope.
This kid should be at home in scandiwegia listening to music, gossiping with her mates about boys, love island or whatever. Not being convinced to cross the worlds second biggest ocean in hurricame season in a sail boat as a publicity stunt.

Yeah but you don't debate.....you just moan and bugger off.

As for the planet....it's fine, the climate changing isn't going to affect it at all.......it's the poor in warmer countries that are potentially fecked.

Then again, Al Gore said we would have cities under water by 2006 so......predictions are famously unreliable.

Northern European areas will probably be quite Spain like before we get technologically onto this problem.

And then there is the mini ice age of course, which is due....some warming apparently combats that.

Swings and roundabouts.....I'm wary of all the competing interests behind different narratives.

Besides there is nothing at all anyone on these forums or indeed in this country can do about it either way.....it's all way above our pay grade.

I doubt whether that's the reason as it's more likely just the way that you were born.

My youngest son is also autistic but unfortunately he is the opposite of you as he has learning difficulties
