Reducing damaging behaviours would also help, don't you think? Not really. People don't change their lifestyles outside of a few percent unless they see a material benefit to it. As is nature....all particles tend to the lowest energy state. It's technology and/or population reduction.....and out of the two population reduction isn't going to happen. So it's technology or bust....little girls can cry for the media all they like. That's the reality. Edited by Stirlingsays (24 Sep 2019 6.53am)

We will act too late on environmental problems that we have a hand in, and the planet will make its own re-adjustment.

Science, research, new ideas are what bring about improvement. For example, see the effect of plastic bag charges on reducing their use - positive, no? Small changes at scale can make a big difference. Not everyone is primarily motivated by materialism.

And anyway, there are fewer and fewer people calling you lot out on your nonsense these days. The arrogance and ignorance of those wilfully ignoring what is happening to the planet is even more depressing then those who spend all their time worried about the plight of ‘whitey’.

Not denying that our climate is changing.

As for the planet....it's fine, the climate changing isn't going to affect it at all.......it's the poor in warmer countries that are potentially fecked. Then again, Al Gore said we would have cities under water by 2006 so......predictions are famously unreliable. Northern European areas will probably be quite Spain like before we get technologically onto this problem. And then there is the mini ice age of course, which is due....some warming apparently combats that. Swings and roundabouts.....I'm wary of all the competing interests behind different narratives. Besides there is nothing at all anyone on these forums or indeed in this country can do about it either way.....it's all way above our pay grade. Edited by Stirlingsays (24 Sep 2019 8.13am)

I have autism. Thankfully high functioning , probably due to not being diagnosed til late in life, so having had to cope. I doubt whether that's the reason as it's more likely just the way that you were born. My youngest son is also autistic but unfortunately he is the opposite of you as he has learning difficulties
