This is a post in the reddit link and says all.

‘Here's the thing, the "friend zone" doesn't really exist. Allow me to explain......

Men and women cannot relate to each other...at least not on a "friends" level.

Let's be honest, women are only "friends" with guys because they are maybe attracted to them on some level and they LOVE attention and orbiters.

Men are only "friends" with women because they either want to f*** them, or they want a relationship with them. That's it.

Sure, a few genuine friendships MIGHT slip through the cracks (where neither party is sexually interested in/or attracted to each other, and they have similar interests), but that's the exception, not the rule.

As a straight male, do you genuinely want to hear about gossip, who she's dating, her period cycle, her leg-shaving tips, the newest Kardashian episode? What's that you say? No? Good. Then, you probably shouldn't be "just friends" with females.

When I was growing up, you were a man and you had male friends. Women were women, and they had female friends. In my opinion, this is more in tune with nature.

The whole intersex friends thing really became popular when liberalism exploded on the scene. In my humble opinion, it's a false liberal idea, and like most of their ideas, it isn't natural or feasible.

Because, guess what? As soon as your female "friend" gets a boyfriend, she will be nowhere to be found.’

Ah, are those the main topics in the female world? Clearly I wouldn’t know. And there I was thinking it was all shoes, handbags and babies.

Genuinely feel sorry for you thinking this is true.

As I would you when your missus tells you the male ‘friend’ she sees 3-5 times a week is just a friend.

I take it you’ve never seen ‘When Harry Met Sally’ then.

Men and women can be mates, but if it’s a case of them socialising as just a pair, one of them, usually the man, will either want to get into the pants of the ‘friend’, or want a relationship. When people meet as a group then I agree with you. As the Reddit poster said, there are exceptions to this, such as if they have a common interest or share a regular activity and that’s the reason for them meeting up, but this notion that you have a friend of the opposite sex just the same as friends of the same sex simply isn’t true.

How many married people do you know who go out for a night of just drinks and chat with an opposite sex friend when their opposite sex partner is at home knowing?

I look forward to your reply in how millennials have got it right and everyone before hasn’t and hasn’t a clue.

Two of my closest mates are female and there’s zero intention of anyone getting in anyone’s pants.

Big girl’s blouse. You are the exception. Do they play in the front row for a rugby team?
