I feel the sentiment and think we're in a similar spot to where Charlton were 10 years ago. We've reached our peak which is Premier League mid table obscurity, which is actually a dull existence.

A few seasons back in the Championship, offload players on big salaries and a gradual rebuild may rejuvenate the place.

Despite us being is our best ever position, its become a bit boring. Cahill and McCarthy signings are so uninspiring and reflects where we are at present. It just doesn't feel like Palace at the moment

Sorry but Charlton used to spend the entire season between 8th and 11th. We’re in the bottom 6 until April. Our team until January is always relegation struggling and then with loans and/or purchases we can’t afford in the long term we become a mid table side.

Look at our team now? Is that mid table? Even if Camarasa is the dog’s bollox I doubt we will be because he doesn’t suit Benteke or probably Wickham and ward is going to be punished as well.

Charlton wanted to go onto the next level from being in a very good situation for them. We’ve been run like a charlatan board would run a football club. Now we’re paying for it.

There’s a slight similarity but we’re more like Sunderland and the reliance on Defoe, us with Zaha or relying on Batshuayi or another striker and being a one trick pony.

I can't match some of you guys, only been going since 1974. I have to be honest I only renewed my season tickets this year because it is about the only thing I do collectively with my sons.
I'd much rather watch us away than at home (although the signs are ominous this season if Sheffield is anything to go by).

For not renewing my season ticket this season.I have been going to SP since 1974 and a season ticket holder in the AW for ten years so not a glory hunter.Didn't renew for various reasons, prefer to play golf, shi**y journey, very poor football,VAR etc.Watching Sundays performance against The Blades confirmed that I had made the right decision.I did not enjoy last season at all with watching so much dross at home, also did not have too much luck with the three away games as well.Thought we were lucky to beat Fulham and were well beaten at Brighton and West Ham.Watching us lose though is not the problem as with our recent home form in the last few seasons, its become the norm.
Its the hope that's killed me,I've given up hoping to see us play with desire and players being comfortable on the ball, being able to pass the ball crisply to each over with a purpose to it.When was the last time we have totally dominated another side and played slick football.Watching newly promoted sides playing the sort of football I want to see only makes matters worse.Rant over.

fans of Leicester City may be confused - but respect to you, you go to much more games than me, we were particularly s***e v saints last season, were better at home after xmas, roy has had us knocking it about at times, but we were desperate on Sunday and I would be relieved too if I had not renewed my season ticket.

Aren't you the same bloke who has been whining about the Homesdale Fanatics for the last year?

As you get older time is more precious. I'll not be wasting my any more time and money watching a declining team in a crappy stadium.

I endured nearly 50 years of Division Three, yoyoing up and down, no cups and Peter Taylor in charge. Selling AWB to united has proved to be the final straw for me.
When Parish and the Americans go and we have the promised ground redevelopment, I might think about returning. Until then, it will be armchair viewing for me.

Supporting a football club is an expensive and time consuming business. This plus the fact that many games are no longer on a Saturday at 3pm can be a big problem.

I will not criticise anyone that decides it is no longer value for money or worth the effort.

I have supported palace for over 50 years and like many my actual presence at the ground has varied over the decades. Younger supporters tend to be more passionate whilst those with young families don't have the time or the money.

I keep promising myself that I will buy a season ticket again once I reach 65. I am retired now and surprisingly I just don't have the time to spare. It's not as though Palace are rolling over teams each week so the club has a responsibility to provide some entertainment as well.
