Insider tv personalities scoffed at David Icke when he declared all the ruling elites to be paedophiles. And I must confess to considering him unhinged myself.

Shocked that he was right.

Very convenient. I didn't realise that 'suicide watch' meant watching sex traffickers kill themselves before they give up names. The powerful have friends in both high and low places, upset them to your peril. Remember how the lead Panama Papers reporter was suddenly taken out by a car bomb.

His links to presidents past and present, royals and the rich and powerful were not insignificant. There was of course years back disturbing recorded video testimony and lawsuits from an individual regarding Epstein and Trump. I've no idea whether any such allegations not seen through are a statement of childhood truth or an act of opportunism and fantasy though. It's also on record that Epstein received 'gifts' into the tens of millions from certain mega rich individuals. It seems likely that he had serious dirt on some people at least.

I have read suggestions that his death will actually make things worse for all those associated with his activities!

When the federal authorities raided his home and took away lots of apparently incriminating evidence it was anticipated that a long legal battle would ensure over it. Now he is dead it is suggested that battle won't be fought but that the government still have that evidence and will use it.

The theory is that this will therefore make it easier and faster for the involvement of others to be known and prosecutions to be mounted.

I wonder about that myself as I guess his estate will still want to try to protect his wealth from court actions by his victims.

It won't stop the conspiracy theories. Nor, fortunately, the FBI from investigating.

This is my thinking. The genie is out of the bottle now and the MSM will not let this rest until they have investigated it. I don't know if there is anything sinister in his death but I don't think it will make any difference.

Too many people know stuff and if the FBI do their job properly those people will give up the bigger fish to save their necks.

This one is going to run and run and rather like the Trump Russia investigation I can see this morphing into all sorts of other areas of investigation.

My guess is that the Democrats will pursue it even if it hurts Clinton as he is yesterday's man they will be hoping for dirt on Trump so Clinton could just be collateral damage.

The Republicans will also want to investigate for similar reasons they would love Clinton's head on a plater and if Trump is implicated some Republicans will not be unhappy.

In short everyone has something to gain by investigating even if the fall out may damage some on their own side.

Here was a man who agreed to post a multi-multi million pound bail along with what ever the court wanted to impose but they locked him up anyway. Oh and a fake Saudi Passport. For a man called 'Epstein'. LOL.

And on suicide watch but he still manages to somehow hang himself? Nah. It not only stinks but has been deliberately designed to do so.

The only conspiracy theory to this is that he actually did top himself.

As to the notion that somehow this makes things worse for the people he was meant to be exposing makes me smile. All I see if a big f***ing message being sent. No matter how much money, no matter how much you might think you have on people, you still end up dead.

Yes, a lot of hot noise to follow but so what? Tomorrows fish and chip paper for 99.9% of the worlds population.

Sounds about right unfortunately. I've no doubt he had incriminating info on several individuals at some stage, but that will likely disappear with him or find its way into the nearest incinerator.

Then again they did raid his personal safe recently. Expect a fire in the evidence room .

He should have been under CCTV so an investigation should at least clear up the basics.....though as Barr said, heads should roll over this. It was important to keep this man alive, at least until the court system had finished with him.

Life has taught me that in most situations 'occam's razor' applies.....and the problem with most conspiracies is the nature of humans...insomuch as like the Chinese say, 'three can keep a secret as long as two of them are dead'.

That doesn't mean that conspiracies don't happen, they do all the time both in business and outside of it. However, the more complex and important the harder it is to keep quiet....though in many cases most people just aren't that bothered.

But this situation was predictable, has attention and is more than a little iffy so suspicion is most definitely a reasonable and valid position.....hopefully time will reveal all.

As in the other cases we can only hope that the girls involved aren’t forgotten in the media/political feeding frenzy.
The fact that some will inevitably try to make political gain makes it no less contemptible.
As regards Epstein there are reports that he wasn’t on suicide watch despite an apparent previous attempt which seems strange.

Fully agree, those that were abused need the focus they deserve....and I also agree that these situations will always attract those who look to gain beyond the circumstance. That's why we always need balanced objective people in important positions....something that is much more patchy in modern times.

If Epstein wasn't on suicide watch that in of itself needs investigation and seems almost incomprehensible to me. If there is something behind this....that seems like the angle....pay off the decision makers to give this guy the opportunity to off himself.
