There is sustained charity work done privately by the likes of Ed Sheeran and even Wilfried Zaha over many years which I think is fantastic.

Publicity for charitable causes doesn't automatically immediately imply that someone is having a 'look at me, aren't I great' moment. It can really boost a cause and I'd rather a charity receive publicity than the usual celebrity inanities. Anything that saves us from another Gemma Collins article or interview is good with me .
