I just cannot get my head round why Newcastle would pay 4 million to get Bruce from Wednesday, there are equally crap managers you could get for nothing, its got so bad some Toon fans on their forum would rather have Pardew back

Wednesday gave permission did they not?

(i assume) its because they are skint, and having to sell their ground, and the compo will go some way to helping out.

shame really, always quite liked sheff weds.

My understanding is that the sale to the owner and a lease back arrangement was due to profitability and sustainability matters.

He's resigned from Weds, so, Toon wont have to pay compo, that's my understanding.

I wouldn't be surprised if Newcastle do pay them something. Just incase it get's messy with tapping up allegations etc.....

Sheffield Wednesday and Newcastle have been negotiating for him, Contracts work both ways you cant just walk out on a contract and join another club for nothing. most media locally are saying 4 million.
