He then followed it up by saying that noone would ever pick Palace over Brighton Total and utter folderol and then some.

They are the wierdest supporters of any club in the UK.
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

I was present at the Worthing v Lewes game the other night and I heard similar pearls of 'Wisdom' outside the ground, dispensed by a couple of older chaps. My response to them as I strolled past was 'Bol....s' and they looked at me stunned but never responded. For anyone who's tempted to fall just a little bit in love with them, have a read back through just a few pages of their 'Zaha Watch' thread: SEGW is "Swivel-Eyed Gravity Whore" and BETM is "Bolly-Eyed Turf Magnet", and yet they were apoplectic over supposed racism with respect to Bong. Can you envisage any Palace chat site ever using that sort of hatred against a player from another team; in fact I think you'd have to go a long way to find anything like that thread on any other fan site, anywhere.

They also signed Ecuadorian Billy Arce in 2018, who is likewise unable get a work permit to play in the UK. You couldn't make it up. That does seem to have been a bum deal, but presumably someone in the Brighton hierarchy thought it was worth a crack, so they gave his agent a ring.
Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |

They think they have a better squad than us after 1 game against a shocking Watford side on the day. They should be a lot more grateful that we gifted them 6 points last season and kept them up.

I don’t where they get this idea we’re deluded. Maybe it’s because they’re always hearing or reading us laughing at them with their bog standard football up until now because most of us know our club setup is a bit of a joke and we’ve stayed up because of overspending, and now the money has fun dry we need to cut costs and things aren’t great for the long term with our infrastructure and stadium etc, let alone ownership if we get relegated. What we need is a mega wealthy owner like they’ve had, rather than us winning promotion for the grand sum of about £600,000, rather than their however many millions on the squad before their promotion year when they actually didn’t spend much at all.

'Champions League' Brighton a goal down at home to the Hammers after an hour; the genius of "Potterball".

Just tuned into their match v West Ham just before West Ham went 0-1 up. Bha equalised which I didn’t see but again West Ham looking dangerous against bha’s high line where they (Chico) scored from. This new football they’re playing doesn’t suit their basic and pedestrian defenders. Very vulnerable. Should be interesting.
