Down here in Somerset, it seems that every time you are going along a road, whether it's an open straightish one or a lane full of sharp bends, anyone coming up behind you has to accelerate until they are approx 2 cars lengths off your rear bumper, and there they sit. They have no intention of overtaking, just want you to do the driving for them, but when you suddenly go round a bend and find deer, horses or a cow (on one occasion) in the road, it makes for some pretty hairy moments. Some of the lanes round here you simply cannot drive at more than 30-35mph on the bendy bits, so why not sit back a sensible distance and drive at the same speed, cos you're not going anywhere. Never found this so consistently anywhere else!

Not far from my abode is a road which runs through the downs for approximately 3 miles. What raises my hackles is getting behind some person (Usually older than my 66) who decides to amble along at just over 30 MPH when the limit is 50 MPH and there is simply NO opportunity to overtake due to traffic coming in the opposite direction and the bends in the road.Time and time again streams of cars are held up by these drivers who probably shouldn't be in charge of a vehicle. Bring back La Cucaracha air horns from the sixties and give them a good blasting. That should shift the buggers
