It's b*****ks when they make out they just want to play football I have no problem with players demanding “silly wages” we would all do the same, and they probably have expenses of there own to pay in life, you live to your means, you might have a better job than me which pays you a lot more, but then that will mean your house is bigger (bigger mortgage) a more expensive car (high running costs) and so on, so I don’t think it’s silly for these players to be asking for a wage that they have been living in for some time. That said, we shouldn’t be shopping for the Cahill’s of this window, we should be looking to invest in long term young players.

You can't blame players at the end of their careers trying to get one last lucrative deal. Just not right for us.
Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that. |
