Would be an excellent signing at around £30m but cannot see Frank sanctioning such a move or Parish wanting to pay the going rate for a proven striker.

Looks as though he will be joining Besiktas.. How infuriating.

What is the deal with Bats? I honestly don't know. Is he a bad player to have in the squad? Much better than Abraham yet Chelsea don't want him and don't play him.

And is English. I rate Batshuayi more than Giroud though considering the overall game, not just goals. That's just my opinion.

TA is injured(not in the picture), Giroud has gone elsewhere. Batts has publicly said, he wishes to stay & fight for his place(agents talk) till January. Now IMO, that 'could' mean he/Chelsea would be open to a loan at a cost to Palace, but not with the usual to buy clause. So, like last season he helps us stay in the EPL. That is a very sorry state of affairs & says a hell of a lot about our club/ownership & management. Just my opinion, you understand.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Our ‘attack’ looked so much livelier with Bats up front and he seemed to link the play so much better than our other strikers. The other players looked to thrive with Bats up top and we offered so much more of an overall attacking threat with him in the team. It would be very frustrating to discover now that he might not feature for Chelsea this season and could have been available after all.

With Mount and Abraham hitting the ground running his chances not looking so good although he was an unused sub. against Norwich. If it doesn't work out we will have to wait until January but I guess Chelsea won't loan him again and will want something we can't afford to buy (£20 mill?)

Take it with a pinch of salt as its the Express, but Chelsea apparently want £22m for him. In todays market, that's a steal.
