When I'm old and on my death bed I want to invite all the people who have p@ssed me off in life over so I can tell them what c@nts they are.

I then want my family to come in so I can tell them all how much they mean to me. I will then ask them to leave and invite half a dozen whores and strippers over to see out my final hours in fun.

No need to wait until then. I spend a considerable amount of time doing just that anyway.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

As someone already in God's waiting room (terminal cancer) i can confirm there's always "just let me have one more..."
Be it palace game, kids` birthdays, christmas, whatever. It's basically how I run my life now - little month or two targets (can't plan much further than that as I don't know how well I'll be and for how long). Current list holds a short break to see my bestie in spain, a day at the ashes in august, camping weekend. Just keep enjoying what you can for as long as you can. Easy to say "hope i did before I get old" when it's not an imminent probability.

Coming to us all mate, just a matter of timescale - I consider myself lucky to know and be able to prepare.

Likewise I'm also sorry to hear this and you've always been a good poster on here and here's to a list that grows to be much much longer.

Absolutely and sorry for your circumstances.
My twin brother had 5mins. Life is what it is and i personally consider leaving this world as nothing more than part of a bigger journey.

All the very best.

This topic reminded me Johnny Cash - Hurt.

I usually visualize myself playing this over and over again when i am at 80s.

6-12 months is latest estimate, but that's what they said a month ago too, so there's an extra month right there. Truth is my type is so rare, nobody is totally sure what it will do. On the plus side, Marsden accepted me onto a phase 1 drug trial yesterday, so who knows (someone has to be the first person to take the brand new silver bullet)

Lessons learned:

Never forget to tell those you love how you feel

Work time is never as important as family time

Life really is too short

Try to be nice to people (even the total cockwombles) because all this crap (yes brexit I'm talking to you) really is just so much small beer

Make sure the planet is safe for your kids and their kids

Enjoy yourself, it's later than you think (could be a song in that)
