Saw it in Berlin and it was really good fun. Eddie is a very clever comedian so it’s no surprise some of the jokes go over some heads.

If you've gotta explain it, it ain't funny.

Take away the Palace link and nobody on here would find him remotely amusing. Because he's not.

"Executive Lesbian" and all that s***e? Just bizarre, not funny.

Then again, that Les character is funny on Benidorm when he sticks a wig and lippy on, just an upper-middle class version of that.

I get the distinct impression you would need a "knock-knock" joke explained. As for Mr Izzard, both my daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed his show.

“The manager and the players are s***e because we didn’t finish top six, win the cup and only beat Man City by one goal.” Just bizarre, not funny.

I was up in the gods so that was impossible. It was a very enjoyable evening for both my daughter and me. Thank you. I never saw the remake of "Triffids" as I consider the original a classic. I did enjoy his performance in "Valkyrie" even though the movie was ruined by the arrogant attitude of the writers and director who believed nobody knew the story. That wasn't the actors fault. As for the negative comment, I should expect such negativity from the resident "damp squid."

Damp squid 😂 Think you mean damp squib!

World famous touring comedian not funny because Chris says so. It’s borderline amusing that you have wasted time on something you clearly have no interest in, almost like you have nothing better to do with your life. Kinda sad really.

All comedy is subjective.

I'm afraid 'He's not funny because I say he's not funny' just doesn't work.

Perhaps: 'I don't find him funny myself' would do.

Perhaps I shouldn't be surprised that this wouldn't occur to you, my troubled man.

In English or German? He used to do the French shows in French and my french ex said he was outstanding. It was his "I'm covered in bees" phase.

He can be when he jumps from one thing to another and back again. However, he does keep one laughing.

So is it ok for me to say that I don't find him even remotely funny? Because I don't.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham
