Isn’t the motd just a two bob vote anyway ? Isn’t the carling vote the main one ?

The only reason they did it the way they did, is because they knew Andros would win if the public voted. I bet if you gave Wright and Shearer the actual public voting numbers it may have led to a different outcome as they’d realise they are very wide of the mark.

Time to Twitter bomb @GaryLineker. Here’s mine from @RedPalaceCoSox: ‪@GaryLineker Goal of the Season 2018-19: Andros Townsend vs Man City at City of Manchester ( Etihad) Stadium. No question. You now have made #CPFCFamily your mortal enemy worldwide.‬
Divorced...And LOVING it! |

If enough people complain to the BBC then might reveal the figures during next week's Cup Final coverage.

Ian Wright was the first to say it was the best goal technically ..and it was only when Shearer and Lineker both mentioned the importance of kompany's goal that he hesitantly agreed with them. If they'd called the competition 'The most important goal of the season' from the beginning Townsend's would never have been anywhere near it ..let alone in the final three at the end! Absolutely spot on. For one of the greatest strikers of all time Shearer shows absolutely no insight. Imagine voting based on importance rather than technical merit? What a plum. And as for Ian Wright? He's never had any true affection for us despite trying to claw his image back in the eyes of the fans since we came back up. He knew Andros's goal was the best and he rolled over anyway. Once a turncoat always a turncoat.

Why have a public vote and then let the 3 pr*cks in the studio decide?

Shows you how corrupt the bbc are to let three muppets choose the second place entry as the winner .....unbelievable ! Attachment: F3BB7CC9-DFA4-4F73-B603-EA23D8453070.jpeg (62.78Kb)

Its very frustrating that the BBC website acknowledges that Andros actually won the vote, yet on MOTD where everyone is watching, they hand it to Kompany.. thats not who the public voted for.

Just watched the motd stitch up.. So if Kompanys goal is more "important" than Andros's because kompany scored for Man City in crucial game, then just who did Andros score against ?? Doncaster f'ing rovers??
catford kid, caught up supporting "team of the 80s" in the 70s.. |

But not only that, Andros actually won the online vote! he received 29% of the votes, beating Kompany who got 28%/ It would not suit MOTD's agenda to give the goal of the season award to unfashionable palace, whos goal was against Pep Guardiolas champions.
