Absolutely the correct reaction. Thank you.

Cabaye should never have been allowed to take free kicks and corners instead of punch his free kick against Liverpool in Gerrard's last game were he ran the midfield was his finest 90 minutes in a palace shirt

Hit his best a long time ago, but I think people forget how good he was at that time - Pardew brought him into a central attacking midfield role and he was absolutely one of the first names on the team sheet, and scored some amazing goals. Shame it didn't last longer.

In our first 2 seasons back in the Prem he was brilliant for us scored and set up some vital goals and linked up brilliantly with Zaha and Bolasie. Hope he carries on elsewhere for a bit longer preferably not Millwall or Charlton.

That goal against Norwich and the celebration with the team will be a lasting memory.

Been a great servant to the club and hope he gets the recognition he deserves on the weekend.

About 18months late...wonder if he was pointing to the exit on his way out.

Overrated for much of his tenure with us save for about 25games. Had the ability...just not the mental aptitude.

Top player for me and another reason we are now where we are. I always chuckle when people who have probably achieved nothing of note in their entire life can find time to belittle the achievements of a top professional. Nothing lasts forever but Roy has had nothing but positives to say about him. It is probably best for him and CP that he moves on but thanks Jason for some fantastic memories.

Hear hear! That goal away at cardiff was a turning point in the season in keeping us up i seem to remember, and punch is one of a few who have scored for us in an fa cup final, should have taken rooney out on that run but so should a number of players, you nearly won it for us and helped get us where we are, an established epl club, who"d have thought it a few years back? Come back as an ambassador /meet an greet when we build the new stand, steer clear of going back to the new den, it2s not the fortress/atmosphere it once was as everton proved, and the valley of despair would only depress you, maybe a coaching role at selhurst for a croydon legend beckons?

His first two seasons with us he was probably our best creative player but he tailed off pretty dramatically.
A shame his goal in FA Cup Final wasn't the winner

I believe the final 11 Premier League games he started (for us and Huddersfield) resulted in defeats

If he needs the money, I can see him ending up as a bouncer at a club

Born in Croydon and fights with a belt, too right he's one of our own!

A decent enough player but it's the right time for him to move on or retire.

To be fair, he went up in my estimation for this lol

Bouncer insults your wife so you take your belt to him, fair play.

Shouldn't have been on the night of a match when he was injured, but there you go. All's forgiven now. Bless him.
