I've seen. A few similar images and they are amusing, but unfortunately the PC brigade are very prevalent in today's society with their special wording of "totally unexceptable " banded about here there and everywhere. And to think of some of the stuff you've got up to on the one show. How times have changed
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Overreaction with the usual caving in to the baying mob. What a spazzy world we live in.

Millwall fan, mask slipped? Don't think so. A friend of mine of Nigerian origin knew Danny from when they young men and has told lots of stories none of which put Danny in a bad light. From what my mate has told me I don't believe he is racist at all. That said I have never warmed to his radio show. As for the joke I assume that all jokes about primates are now out of bounds because some people take offence. He apologised that should have been the end of it unless the Royal couple had something to say about it. In this crazy world of ours the BBC will forgive killers and drug takers but they never forgive a comment that is deemed racist.

I have a healthy aversion to political correctness, but in my opinion the joke was unwarranted and in terribly bad taste.

Serious error of judgement even if not intentional; however having made more than one fulsome apology and taking it down within an hour of it being up there I really do despair with today's PC culture. Saw him and Gary Lineker just the other week at Wimbledon theatre...he's certainly livid a full life, with this just being yet another 30sec annecdote to add to the list...

Fair enough, but what if (say) someone posted a photo of a chimpanzee wearing a football kit flanked by a couple of tracksuited humans and added the caption "Crystal Palace striker signs new contract". Acceptable? Funny?
