Would it be silly to sign Welbeck and Sturridge in the hope when one is injured the other plays? They are lethal but knowing our luck, they'd both be out for the same first 6 months, then battling each other for a starting place for 6 games, then both injured for remainder of the season. If we just got that one piece of luck though, Zaha, Townsend, Sturridge and Welbeck starting at Selhurst - goodbye home record problems, hello Europa League push.

If we sign Welbeck, Sturridge and Andy Carroll to complement Wickham and Benteke, there will probably only be around 12 games a season when they're all injured and we have to play Wilf up front.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

Chelsea are going to appeal to the Commission of arbitration for sport but of course they might be unsuccessful.If the ban,which runs to the end of January 2020,is not overturned I suspect Hazard will not be allowed to transfer to Real Madrid.

I thought I heard that one benefit of Chelsea appealing is that if they can drag it out before CAS makes its decision they may get the summer transfer window in. I guess that will depend on how quickly they hear the case.
