Hear, hear!! There is some sense on these boards.

Wasn’t the greatest game, Wilf seems to not trust teammates at times or maybe he’s just trying too hard to impress.

12 clean sheets this season, 6th highest in the league behind 4 of the top 6, the 5th being Everton. A nil nil draw seems about right.

We may not consistently play exciting football but we’ve had our moments, don’t care if it’s home or away, wins are wins in the toughest, most exciting league in the world. Another season under Roy keeping it tight is fine with me.

If the worst were to happen and we lose Wilf, there isn’t many other managers I’d want leading us into 2019/2020 season.

I fear that is much too positive post for this forum, pretty soon no doubt someone will be telling you that you know nothing about football.

Whoa back PZ, he might not have had a trial with a semi professional team in the dark ages, how do you know you can trust his opinion?

Ah well sarcasm is the lowest form of wit, worse when the facts are wrong as Palace have always, since the war at least, been a fully professional team.

Facts can never be wrong by definition.

No matter how crap a game or performance is, there’s always something to remember, sitting right behind Guaita’s save will live long in the memory. Although I do admit that having seen it on my phone on the way home and TV several times since, it did seem better at the time.

Plus I do enjoy the gallows humour when it’s a crap game, I suppose we have to make our own entertainment

I think you're right on both accounts, he doesn't trust his team mates (quality of passing has been atrocious this season by most in the team) and he's trying to impress possible suitors..however to get the big move he may crave he needs to start doing the simple things right, such as pass and move rather than continually running into dead ends surrounded by 2/3 defenders trying to do it on his own.

Our home form is the worry we're the 5th worst team over ten seasons and the figures are from the end of last season. So with our white hot home form this year I wonder where we will sit when they do the new stats.

What made that save so good was the speed at which it arrived at him. It’s only when you slow it down you can see it is a pure reflex action to get a hand on it. A stunning save and quite rightly received a standing ovation from a lot in the ground.

Our setup and playing style is suited for away matches where we can sit deep and play on the break. This style is not conducive to playing at home, where we struggle to dictate games.

In order to be better at home, we need a dominant creative midfielder.

Whilst you may well be right we did win 7 home games last season without this type of midfielder, only 4 wins so far this season which can only get to 5. Perhaps Cabaye and RLC losses have weakened our attacking midfield options, particularly as Meyer hasn't played a lot or really contributed much when he has ? If we can't find a passing creative midfielder then I hope we can recruit a decent dead ball specialist.

The one positive I can find from yesterday's game was that at least we kept a clean sheet.

Many of the Palace players may as well have stayed between the sheets.
