Never said it was, although as you mentioned it I think it's a very fashionable thing for lazy/yuppie parents to pin on their children to excuse an array of behavioural issues. Bit like ADHD was in the 00s. Or how dyslexia is used as an excuse for illiteracy. I agree that these conditions exist, just over diagnosed. May I inquire of your considered opinion of Tim Howard, goal keeper for NY Red Bulls/MetroStars, Manchester United, Everton, Colorado Rapids & the United States of America? Does he genuinely suffer from Tourette’s? His doctors would really like to know.

Lots of people on this site see an opportunity to launch into a virtue crusade without actually reading the posts thoroughly, don't be one of them. I acknowledge that these conditions are real. I opine that I believe they're over diagnosed.

Those of us that have to live with these conditions on a daily/hourly basis find people like you and your terminology a kick in the teeth. For the most part it's not funny ( although we do find humour in it, loads of it self depreciating, as way of coping) and a constant battle for what most people would state as normality.

Bit like ADHD was in the 00s. Or how dyslexia is used as an excuse for illiteracy. Agreed. They very much do exist, but like everything else it's a sliding scale. They are probably over diagnosed....however that doesn't overly bother me. What grinds my gears is the over protective victim culture that is pushed into it.

That said, the program where the mentals go dating can be hilarious. I don't like it when they put genuine disabled or deformed people on there though. It's ok to laugh when it's the made up stuff like Asperger's or tourettes Genetic advancements will eventually buff those conditions right out.

This!! I was looking for something to watch a few months ago on demand and tried so hard to stick with it, but It was awful so I gave it up. Same. I couldn't get into it despite persevering. I did stick with that new Alan Partridge series recently though and eventually took to that.

Oh come on, that was a funny line! It was indeed a good line. On reflection probably not the most opportune moment to make my point!
