Man is the most insane species. He worships an invisible God and destroys a visible Nature. Unaware that this Nature he’s destroying is this God he’s worshipping. Hubert Reeves |

Nice touch by Sterling to pay for the funeral. Fair play to him. Thoughts are with the family. RIP. It was a nice touch but surely he shouldn't have needed to and the club should have done this as a gesture? It must be such a rare thing for any club to have a youngster die & the very least a Premier league club could do is to pay for the funeral as a mark of respect, surely that would have been the right thing to do? One of the biggest mysteries in life is that loud stupid people normally don't have even the slightest inclination that they are stupid. |

Raheem Sterling has clearly developed a close relationship with Damary and his family while a doner was sought and though Damary's passing. I think it's much more than a gesture and will be in line with family wishes. Edited by chris123 (23 Apr 2019 2.55pm)

Maybe she does have past history with an adverse immigration record, we may never know. The family will say one thing and the HO won't comment. Very sad set of circumstances all round

Before I sign this, why has she been refused? It's sad about the lad, but there might be more to this. I have absolute belief it is because the people of Britain voted for a government who are cruel, mean minded and petty. There are far, far too many similar cases to even consider anything else. Signed btw.

Signed of course....what a disgrace, this government have a record of shame with regard to treatment of people from the Caribbean or with that heritage and here it is again with it's rigid hostility. How naive of some posters to still have faith in political actions of this Home Office they have a lot of lives they are responsible for ruining.

Sadly I think it is sometimes civil servants too - Amber Rudd was not properly briefed.
