We can’t sign a player of wilf’s level if he is sold but as a club we would need to move on and strengthen as well as we can. I would personally be looking at Jarrod Bowen at hull and Daniel James or josh Clarke of Swansea and Leeds. We should be looking at young players from the championship just look at what brooks has done at Bournemouth this season. Loads of room to improve and big sell on values if we can improve them. From recent articles it sounds as if we are looking at championship talent, we have been linked with Erik konsa and Reece James.

Another possibly worth a gamble for his sheer pace alone, might be Adama Traore at Wolves. He doesn't get a regular place. He reminds about of Bolasie, loads of pace but doesn't know what to do it. He could be moulded into the Palace counter attacking style.

These are not anywhere near Wilf's standard.
If yoy want to look at direct replacements look at Willian, Leroy Sane or at a push Demarai Gray.

We won't get anywhere near Reece James, he will be in the Chesea 1st team squad next season.

Although, Gavin Massey from Wigan might be worth a gamble. I listened to the Leeds game on Friday whilst at work and he seemed to be quickest player on the pitch. Scored both goals.

Must be a wind-up. Willian or Sane.

As for Demarai Gray, he is so inconsistent he seems fluctuate in and out of the Leicester team. If Zaha goes, we won't be spending megabucks, 20m tops.

It will be another def mid, central midfielder or a narrow playing left midfielder, or just Jeffrey Schlupp. On a serious note, we also need other players. A number 10, a replacement for Jimmy Mac etc etc.

These names are a joke in the context of a replacement for Wilfred. A guy playing for Rotherham or a 32 year old who has played 10 times this season in France? You need your heads testing!
Im not saying the kid from Rotherham (and I use that loosely as he's 21) may make it in the PL (no one has thought so yet and picked him up) but if you want to talk about a like for like replacement you need to be aiming way higher.
Otherwise change the thread to "possible players to strengthen the squad".

Cervi from Benfica, lots of pace and dribbling ability.

Too small for the PL. Maybe he could adjust, but the tgread is Zaha replacement, not squad player.

Cervi offers quite few goals and assists in the Portuguese division

Yep mentioned this guy before. 100% agree. Will be available for a reasonable fee considering contract. Obviously no one can replace Wilf but this kid has some potential. Reminds me a little of Ryan Fraser at Bournemouth and likewise has pace to burn as well as ability to find that decisive pass/cross.

Plus he tends to win a few pens...and we all know how useful that can be.

Best scenario is obviously keep Wilf and add Daniel to the ranks.
