Pff, like that'd happen, 11th hour on deadline day and we're scrapping through a deal to get Emiliano Sala as we've got noone else to turn to.

You're more than likely going to be proven right and it is our less than impressive foray in transfer market that will encourage Zaha to turn towards higher placed Premiership clubs so as to not have to endure sole striker placement & relegation battles etc.

Palace also really need to dispose of deadwood in team and build one with depth where ALL have what it takes to play at highest level in Premiership and Cup comps.

It seems to me Palace do not need an out-and -out striker. Where would such a player fit into the palace system?
A deep lying forward who can hold up play and work the space Wilf creates should suffice.

Well now that the ayew grim reaper of relegation curse has been broken I’d say sign him permanent he’s not the worse player we’ll ever sign

I actually like Ayew.

He harries defenders very well when we cede posession and often catches them out and nicks the ball.

He is a fairly good dribbler and has good close control which is lacking in our ranks in some areas. When the game gets stretched he can be an asset out there.

If he was dirt cheap, I might get him in as a player who can come off the bench. He can play as a winger too where we need cover.

To the mods I looked for an existing Jordan Ayew thread but gave up when I got to Sorloth and hadn’t found one yet.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

He’s a good back up player to have on the books but does need to be cheap to make it a worthwhile deal.

He has ability, he just doesn't suit the counter attacking style' He gets on with the other players and clearly gives a damn. When I initially heard about the idea I thought 'how on earth'....but if he's cheap then keeping him as a squad player does actually make sense.

It's obvious that we are going to have changes in the squad next season and too many changes will damage both team and playing cohesion.

He’s okay with big spaces in front of him or behind full backs but completely sh1te without that on the pitch. Watch him.

In today's money, £4m is nothing. No idea what his wages are like but he's a useful squad player.
