Really this was an immense personal and physical struggle, never expected this - just goes to show what can be achieved.

Well done Tiger Woods.

Give over,

He was 2 behind Molinari going into the back nine and his tee shots were all over the gaff. Koepka, Finau and Molinari went in to the water to gift him a chance of being in the top 3, all of the rest messing up their back nine too. There was a three way tie for the lead at one point.

Credit where it's due, his putting was superb.

Hardly vintage stuff. Great headline for those who don't like substance though.

Molinari folded. Kopeka eagles the next hole and birdied 15.

“Rest of them messed up back nine too”. Dustin Johnson birdied 13, 15, 16 and 17, made no bogeys. Shauffle birdied 11, 13 and 14 and made no bogeys, numerous other players made a run on the back nine,

Re putting, not quite, he was 41st strokes gained putting, he was first in strokes gained approaching the green, which is why he won. Great headline for those who don’t like substance though.

What are you on about? He hit a tree ffs and didn't get on the green on another 2 tee shots.

Did you watch it or are you just cutting and pasting?

You’re saying he hit the ball crap and putted amazingly. The statistics show literally the exact opposite, he putted average and hit the ball way better than everyone else. What don’t you understand about that?

“He didn’t get on the green on another two tee shots” - that’s golf! Players almost never ever hit every green (and even more rarely at Augusta) in the right number of shots, even when they win. If they did, they would win every single week and be crowned the greatest golfer of all time.

In response to your question, yes, I watched every single minute of coverage. Were you watching? If so, was it the first time you've watched golf?

Clearly you were watching a different match.

The stats don't support that. Unless, of course, you think that a putt that doesn't go in first time is always a bad shot. Don't tell me you think that just because a 20 yard attempt is chalked up as a miss because it lands a foot away that it's a bad shot?
O dear o dear.

Wow. It's like I'm having a conversation with Donald Trump. "the stats don't support that"

Tiger Woods strokes gained putting: 41st
Tiger Woods strokes gained approach: 1st

Can you explain to me how that does not support that he was average putting and the best player hitting approaches?

Do you understand the concept of strokes gained? I can't tell whether you are on a wind up or have so little understanding of golf that you don't understand the statistics that are used by the entire industry to measure performance? I'm quickly coming round to the latter.
