I’d stick with PVA and Schlup and spend the money elsewhere

If we keep AWB and have Tommo and the Beast in the middle, new recruit at left back with some defensive nous about them, then we will be even more solid next season at the back.

Agree, once Roy forgets about playing Schlupp in midfield and has the two of then competing for LB we'll be fine there. It's definatly not a priority position ahead of a new striker and winger.

Anyone know the latest on Souare? Is he likely to challenge for a first team spot again?

Id take Christy Brown instead of PVA. He boils my blood to watch him play.

This is square pegs again, ward did 9k but was getting beaten easily with balls in behind, kelly is not a left back, pards hung him out to dry playing him there.

I have a feeling he is a right-back who can play at left-back but I will need to confirm this.

I am of the understanding that he was converted from a striker to a defender by David Wagner when he was coaching the Borussia Dortmund reserves.

Charlie Taylor : Attacking left-back who takes free kicks over a wall.Doesn't appear to be that quick off the mark so can be exposed in a 1v1 situation.

Joe Bryan : Steve Cotterill said a couple of years ago that he is one of the bravest players he has worked with.As well as playing as a left-back he has played further forward. His father is a heart surgeon and operated on former Bristol C manager Gary Johnson.Bryan played for Gary Johnson's son Lee Johnson at Bristol C.Fulham signed him for £6 Mill from Bristol C.

It was Gary Johnson, not Joe Bryan who underwent heart surgery.
