It wasn't clear what rules she broke though?

True, however, it's a public building and if they want you moved on....while I take your point, it isn't a disaster......However that situation where she raised the Police not following park rules and then when they came to her house was quite worrying.

Then, situations like Robinson being with his family and arrested in a pub when no behaviour complaint had been made and then driven out of an area is absurd....and then to have a judge back that as ok when the Police obviously lied about not knowing him is double absurdity.

And to state that people can't come together to have 'anti royalty' parties two miles away from the event without being arrested....and then again have the legal system support that decision.....it just blows my mind.

Not ok.....I don't trust the people making decisions within these institutions anymore.

I have read the article twice and still didn`t understand why these 2 stories triggered a police and court action.

For me, they are pretty clear examples of the state, both enforcement and legal review, abusing power.

Frankly, whatever respect I may have had disappeared after they arrested and charges someone for driving through a puddle in the gutter and spraying another with rainwater....... a police record and your future prospects in tatters for watching where you were going!

I read that differently to you as my interpretation was that it was a young chav speeding through a puddle knowing that it would splash pedestrians.

The interesting bit was the quote from the mother that "I was yelling obscenities at the driver.”

Yelling obscenities in the street is also illegal

As a newbie driver in UK, i was extra cautious to avoid my licence to be revoked during first 2 years. If you hit 6 points, your license is revoked and you go to the beginning. That`s why i was doing my search what acts could trigger points and i was surprised to see that driving to puddle and causing disturbance to pedestrians was starting from 3 points which is equal to passing through red light

Unnecessary note, my first 2 years ended this week. (No, that does not mean i will start driving through a puddle)

I agree that that is the way it has been slanted, but if you look at the picture of the mother with the officer, it is a suburban road, parking both sides, and some heavy vehicles moving through it. So, did he really aim for them at speed or was he watching where he was going and genuinely wasn't aware of the consequences?

We'll never know for sure.

I was on my way to a funeral and waiting to cross the road I was wearing a black suit white shirt and black tie. The oncoming car saw me and swerved into the puddle soaking me head to foot. It wasn't an accident and I expect he had a right good larf at soaking a suit.

Prosecution is too strong but people who behave like that will likely cause an accident one day.

We would if we saw a photograph of him and his car as if he is wearing a baseball cap and driving a Corsa he's guilty

I was taught a long time ago, when it had been raining & you ventured out walking, be it, to work/bus stop/shop, always have a coin in your pocket & your hand around it.

After you've been soaked by a tw*t of a driver, a broken back window is a great feeling, tho, you do lose a £1. Works as well.

Edit: I do not condone this behaviour by anyone.
