No, not really, in answer to your strange question.

I was just joking that it was probably far fetched about what the H H Holmes programme alluded to but as none of know who Jack the Ripper was I was just making light of the fact that we can't rule anyone out.

Bloody Poles, coming over taking our jobs, working hard and making us look bad. Now they even do our most iconic historic murders too. Is nothing sacred?

Recent 'advances' in DNA testing has made the conviction of two suspects in the S. Lawrence murder possible.
You would hope that more cold-cases were revisited in this way, if the test results were so conclusive.
And like the Lawrence DNA evidence, The Ripper evidence was probably exposed to lots of contamination over time.

However, the DNA testing is quite robust now, so that I think it more likely than not, they have identified Jack D Ripper.

The reason I have not submitted my DNA sample to "Trace your Ancestry", type companies regards a few issues:

1. My grandfather 'put it about' all over the globe. I really can't be bothered to meet my hundreds of relatives.
2. At what point will these DNA companies be forced to disclose clients DNA to the police.? I do not want my DNA on file, anywhere.
3. Finding out undesirable stuff, like you were adopted, or your mother was Rose West, or similar. Or your wife is really your sister.
