It was shocking to see so many in block B and C throw in the towel and leave early yesterday. We're playing Man Utd who have steamrolled everyone and we gave it a proper go in the second half, get some perspective.

Disappointing to see, that's not the Palace way, or at least it didn't used to be.

Whether a lifeless 1-0 or a humiliating 10-0 it's a sign of disrespect to leave early. You've got to take the rough with the smooth as the bishop said to the actress.

Only a complete sadist would stay to watch a 10-0 drubbing. This is virtue on another level, or perhaps the truth is that such a person doesn't really care. How else can such humiliation be tolerated?

As much as you might like to think you're better than the next man, we're all human.

Sunderland at home was the day most of us showed our threshold. Mass exodus at HT.

Rarely leave early but I confess I left on 90 mins on this occasion. Almost left at half time as had the misfortune of sitting in block G, lower tier.

What an utterly miserable part of the ground, could here a pin drop. I can't understand the mentality of people who want to sit in sheer silence whilst at the game. If you want to watch in silence you might as well stream it from home as you'll get a better view. Fcuking support the team and get behind them, that's all you can do as a supporter. Old people are excluded from this rant.

Wish I didn't go in the end.

Thats kind of you.

Given our abject home form it is little wonder that some supporters are reduced to slack-jawed somnolence.Certainly not many frissons of excitement for home supporters.

That's true. In my opinion, which I suspect the majority will disagree with, is that its the job of the crowd to lift the players if they are struggling (i.e. support). We of course sing when doing well, it should be a reciprocal arrangement.

The concept of sitting in silence at a match simply baffles me. Regardless of the score, if everyone is going for it, its good fun.
