It's pure belligerence. Basically Wodgson and his staff are valuing obedience over talent as it protects their authority and therefore their jobs. There is some merit in this, but the balance should be loyalty and talent. We would easily be top ten if he didn't wait 15-20 games for players to come good or just keep picking the same trusty carthorses over a bit of flare. And in terms of respect within the game? I've heard plenty of ex players on podcasts and in the media who speak negatively about his style. He's extremely one dimensional and predictable, no matter how good the passing and positional discipline has looked at times. Edited by ChrisGC (22 Feb 2019 9.30am) Seems like not many members agree with your jaundice opinion of Hodgson, in fact none so far.

Not that having left school nearly 20 years ago and now existing in the adult world do I really care about your feelings or the fact that you were the school punchbag to be fair. Bit odd to accuse someone else of being a bully after insulting them just because you disagree with their opinion, but there you go. I'm sure the irony is lost on you. I was chatting to a Charlton fan last night and he could see the funny side of the thought that sacking Curbishley had indeed taken them to another a level. We are lucky to have Roy, some of the football this season has been excellent (and some of it hasn't) but I can remember times when the football was consistently dreadful to watch - Freedman anyone? As to his use of subs, many times there has been no quality on the bench, that's changing now and, surprise, surprise, he is making more use of subs. I seem to recall Pardew being slated for his use of subs - basically managers can't win.

Crawl under the stone you came from and f*** off.

Why don't you just take your own advice.

Peter Taylor as well, Trevor Francis, although he did give us 5-0 win against the weed and he did sign Andy Johnson, so I’ll let him off
