My first game was 30th August 1997 against Blackburn as a 6 year old (I'll let you work out my age) - We lost 2-1 (One of the main reason why i hate Chris Sutton so much is because he scored that day- perfectly justified, right?)

I badgered my mum all summer and got a season ticket the season after and have had the same seat ever since.

I hope Im still as Passionate as you when i reach my 50th year, though i do fear for my mental wellbeing on regular occasions watching Palace

Heres to many more years of heartache & jubilation rolled together over a stressful 10 month period.

That was the only game in my 55 years of watching football when the ball has been kicked out of play and I was the one to catch it (in the Arthur). Some of you may remember the incident

My old boss was they guy that caught Benteke's fluffed penalty last season or the season before and was caught on camera so angry at the miss that he hoofed the ball away screaming and made a few of the papers

I attended my first match on 9th Oct 1965 a 2-1 win over Bristol City, the nearest home match to my 50th anniversary was 17th Oct 2015 Palace v West Ham,i e-mailed the club couple of months before to tell them of the anniversary details who then e-mailed me back to say there was a signed card(about 15 of the players)to be picked up from the ground,a great gesture from a proper club.

Congs for 50 years. Remarkable period.

Trouble is, us veterans are unlikely to see Palace as a European heavyweights, plying their trade across the great stadiums of the mainland.

I'll due dreaming of it!

Curiously, Arthur Daley has just quoted something 'about as likely as Crystal Palace winning the European Cup'.

The episode 'The Son Also Rises', dates from the late seventies.
That's 40 years gone!

I was there. Probably the only time I went onto the pitch afterwards. Saw my first in November 66 against Norwich 0-0.

Congrats on your 50 up! As for the Fulham game I remember the Arthur was still being built and only had half the roof on. Health & Safety would never allow it today but what a great atmosphere under there standing on part terracing and half grass. When we scored our third after being 2 nil down I got carried at least 10 yards by the movement of the crowd. Then all on the pitch afterwards. A great day.
