Hate var. Slows the game. Taking a 2 minute break 3 times every half really gets the teams out of the momentum

If they get the decision right, what is wrong with it? Think you exaggerate the timings involved

Football should be limited to 30-35 mins per half with the clock stopped when the ball is not in play.
Goal kicks/corners/free kicks/ all add up.

To be monitored by VAR operators as they will not have a lot to do for most of the game.

This will remove all time-wasting and all Fergie time.

How are we supposed to get anywhere with an attitude like that. How about we keep our best players and get better ourselves. Maybe we could beat City away again next season then or maybe we should just accept that we are poor Palace & don’t deserve good players. Unreal!!!!!!!!! Sound more like the Plastics down the A23!!!

I think the OP's point is that we will do better when players who kick Wilf and others off the park week in week out start getting exposed for the scummy thugs that they are.

Yes and no repeats of foulhampton from the officials.

Zaha will be exonerated from cheating.

Refs only need to come out and say that when time wasting is noted time is stopped, simple isn't it. Having said that the way Arsenal play would mean the game never ends.

It will be a game changer quite literally, we saw it in the World Cup, traditional “big teams” were not being able to “play” the ref as much, I think teams like Liverpool and City will suddenly find that intimidating the ref won’t work, meaning decidsions will be fairer, also the whole it slows the game down, no more than players pretending to be injured to stop game flow.

Been saying for this. Glad it wasn’t just me. The ball is in play on average for approx. 31minutes. Just play that and stop the clock every time the ball goes out. So unbelievable simple. Would solve the added time issues, support VAR and avoid time wasting which everyone hates. Those 90+ subs will be a thing of the past

It actually got suggested by FIFA/FA some point in the recent past I think but got voted down. With the same stupid rationale they always use - they don’t want to add anything in that can’t be replicated at all grass roots levels and clearly you couldn’t implement this in the Sunday leagues. That said, I played with jumpers for goalposts as a kid and that isn’t a thing in real football either...

Great stat
