Have to say, I'm pretty impressed with these Ipswich players. Very confident on the ball, each of them and as a team they are very grown up in their possession. They have been pressing together well this second half also.

1-2 Ipswich penalty. They have looked good this half, the senior players were all subbed off at 60mins.

2-2 Flanagan

Lots of space to run into for Pierrick and a simple reverse to Flanagan let him get in and finish easily.

And just setup Rob Street for a great goal. 3-2.

3-2 Street

They let the goal kick bounce and Lumeka gets hold of it and is free. Squares for Street to score free from the edge of the area.

4-2 OG

Really nice ball from Lumeka and good touch from Pierrick to get away down the right and makes a lovely pass into Street. Poor miss control looked like Street might have messed up the chance but the defender came in to tackle at pass and the ball bundles off him and in.

4-3 conceded with the last kick of the game

been a little poor in moving the ball forward the last 10 minutes but they have just won their reward for pressing up the pitch. Ipswich defender gave the ball away poorly to Mitchell, who laid Lumeka into a dangerous area. Cut back from the byline to Sako for an easy tap in.

edit.. it was actually Lumeka who won the ball and then flanagan who played him through after a 1-2

Was impressed with Lumeka and Flanagan. Also Mitchell from left back looked good going forward (less so defensively though). Good display.

Senior players all looked a little rusty. Wardy didn't have much to do, Sako was decent early but look tired after that. Jairo was involved a bit early but also disappeared as the game went on. I think they were all told to just have a run out and not too exert themselves too much.

Perri seems to be quite comfortable with the ball at his feet.
All the play has been down our left so far, between Flanagan and Sako mainly.

Nice to see this guy keeping the back 4 in sync and well drilled :

I see a lot of potential in Lumeka, I just sense he will not get a go.
I suspect if we had no injury problems, wan-Bissaka would of gone the same way too.
