I’m with you on this one. Nurse maiding another Chelsea player carrying on injury. Looking at this realistically, Roy never puts someone straight into a team anyway so he is probably going to be available for 3 out of those 4 months.

My bigger concern is we have 4 forwards presumably playing for the same spot on the field. I don’t understand how you can possibly keep them happy with that scenario.

People appear to be judging him on his short spell with Valencia.But his overall career goal scoring record is very good,and he will surely get the goals to move us away from the relegation dog fight.

More important, for how we use Batshuayi, is whether Roy is inside the tent on this one. If he's actually going to be used then it may be a good move, but if he's just going to be left on the bench, like Benteke and Wickham, staring at the greensward, whilst Ayew "works hard" for 70 to 90 minutes, then it'll be a guaranteed waste of money

I am happy we signed him but also happy its not permanent as it would be crazy momey when there are better options out there.

At the end of the day we need a goalscorer to make us safe in the league and go far in the FA cup. If we are honest with ourselves, Wickham is probably finished at this level, not many players come back like new after 2 years out. He will be the first to drop from match day squad. Benteke returned to full training 2/3 weeks ago after 5 months out so he wont be ready for a while.

Bats will try his heart out for 6 months to score all he can and get himself a massive perm deal with a bigger club. There is no way will sign him full time. Lets just hope he is fit and ready to go staight into the starting 11 but knowing Roy he wont start him for 2 months until he gets up to speed with his tactics.

More than likely Zaha will get 2/3 game ban so at least that will make waiting for our starting 11 a little more interesting and not the same aul same aul.

We have another 18 months with Roy because he wont be going anywhere before then.

Brilliant signing all I hope is that Roy puts him straight in the team and doesn't keep him on the bench for a while like he seems to do with new signings, although I accept it's a bit early to throw him in for tomorrow's game especially as he hasn't trained with us yet but hope to see him start against West Ham.
