I like Gregoire Defrel, Finnbogasson, Maupay, Morelos, Batshuayi and Origi from that list, but only the first 2 would be below 15 million. Very good strikers too, both Defrel and Finnbogasson. Ali Abdulla is one for the future, but not PL material in the present.

I know there's always the odd late bloomer but I'm sure there must be better out there.

I don't know much about him, but I read today that he spent a large part of his career as a winger rather than a striker, as well as playing in midfield for Leeds last term. If that's true that might explain the relatively low output.

to 0mph and matteo as ive said on the other one the prices are taken from transfermarkmt which are normally quite reliable.

on the subject of Luka jovic, wasnt we linked with him or was it rebic im not sure.

if it is jovic i will be surprised if we get him. his market value is 40m euro.

hes only in here as he was linked with us.

No, it's really not.

Just in recent deals they had AWB at £9m (now £35m)
Harry Maguire at £25m (now £50m) & Delph at £15m (sold for £8m).

It seems to be a combination of Football Manager & best guesses.

Roofe has played out wide, indeed can play all along the front line but his preference is to play as a central striker and I have seen him play quite a few games for Leeds in this position.Terrific movement, never stops running and has got fast feet. Can score with both feet and from free kicks over wall.It was Garry Monk who signed him for Leeds for £3 Mill.

If we had Zaha and Andros on the wings and a speedster up top we could really hurt teams on the break. The one concern I would have is that apparently he had an average of over 3 shots per game over 30 odd appearances which given that amount of chances 14 goals does not that seem that high a return. However, if he really is available for around £5m then surely a better option than re-signing a player (Ayew) who we know can't score.

Roofe has pace but is no real flyer.

Is it 5 million though? Then it would be a "yes" from me as a 4th striker, instead of Jordan Ayew.

I thought we had already signed Ayew? So we have Benteke, Wickham, Sorloth and Ayew. So someone has to go before someone comes in permanently.
I would like to see the back of all of them but there will be no takers.

I'd much rather give minutes to Sorloth than any of Benteke, Wickham, Ayew or Roofe.

Sorloth might just make the step this year. He has been playing as right winger for Gent in Belgium and doing well. At his height and physique, it's good that he also does his defensive duties. He works hard for the team.

Benteke has been a horrible finisher for 3 years now, things will not improve for an almost 30 year old. Wickham will probably need time in the 3rd or 2nd divisions to get in shape. Ayew is average. Roofe would be a decent second striker.

Sorloth remains the best option. At 23, this is his time.

Pleased he’s done ok with Gent but I can’t see time spent in the right wing is much if a recommendation. We need someone to put the ball in the net and lead the line.

Has anyone snaffled Rondon yet? Newcastle of course were never going to buy him. His age doesn’t bother me - as it turns out we sold Murray too early. That’s the profile of player we should be looking at imo.

Rondon has had just 1 good year out of the 5 he has played in the Premier League. Sure, it was the most recent one. But will he replicate that form?

Is 16 million a good number at his age??

I'd have different suggestions, players who could come in for a similar fee, offer just as much in terms of goals and then bring money in the club in 3-4 years by being sold for 50-60 million, which can't happen with Rondon.
