Ha ha Predictions? I don’t really make predictions, I use HOL as a tool to see what’s going on at Palace , dipping in and out when I’m having a p*ss or in a cafe etc. Not scrutinising players that no one has heard of and compiling lists that very few people will read. There’s nothing wrong with doing that it doesn’t make you a bad person, just a wally.

This isn’t an argument though Matthew, as you have called it, I was just mildly taking the p*ss at another of your posts where you are reminding us all that you are the imperial wizard of everything football and craving attention that a nothing player scored a few goals in a competition that very few have heard of.
I’m going to a live football match today in South London. I assume you will be sitting in front of the tele , like Dustin Hoffman in rain man, with your clipboard and pie charts, , watching an under 15 Filipino cup game to see if you can spot someone that maybe the next Messi, but it will mean nothing as you don’t, and never have, worked in football. When I guess that a no-name will be top scorer of the competition and the best player there and he scored THAT goal in the final against Japan, I think I'm entitled to use that phrase. Yes, it's pompous and rude, but honestly, I'll just leave it there cause people have to understand just how BIG such a prediction has been. Literally not 2 other scouting analysts in this world could have made, working for whichever club you'd like, even Barcelona or Manchester City.

People with a greater interest than I in football facts and figures will find this stuff interesting and it ought to be published. Perhaps it would be better off on a personal blog though and not just confined to Palace matters, it would get better readership then. Or perhaps it has application in the databases that underpin things like the FIFA games.

As for finding out what's going on I find the BBS more effective because it's busier, especially immediately before a transfer deadline. But the quality of discussion here is higher and the usability is also better.
