Dougie is Palace through and through and he will do fine given time.
Look at every other Prem club bar maybe City - they all buy some Donkeys in amongst the thoroughbreds.

My point exactly. Dougie was great with little budget at Championship level. A bit 2 bob for the Premier though.

And Palace through and through, until Bolton pitched up waving a wad.

We seem to specialise in donkeys though.

Why must the first thing on the job description be that he is palace through and through? How about some competence in the job?

Freedman was back in September when FDB was summoned to the offices in Soho to explain what the fvck was going on, so about 5 months. Enough time for Freedman to look, have a say, tell Parish what he doesn’t want to hear or actually prove he has an eye at this level because he doesn’t have any experience. Unfortunately it’s a role you can protect yourself in for a few years before you get found out, unlike other roles and the real world.

Jedinak was a Popovic recommendation but the others Freedman can claim, although the whole league knows Kouyate. He usually played well against us and held them together for a start.

We haven't got a Technical Director.

Most players purchased are through recommendations from agents or whoever.

Palace through and through ! Ha ha.
Time to stop drinking the Christmas left overs I think.

Sporting Director then. Clearly he is busy with other sporting matters. Which are probably now much better since taking up the role as he is Palace through and through. Who decided £9m for Sorloth who cannot trap a bag of sand then? Are we all saying Parish is doing the talent spotting?

You need to check you facts before having a go at someone. Freeman was appointed December 17, I doubt he was responsible for Sorloth and Jach so soon after being appointed, probably Hodgsons choice.
He was responsible for Bolasie, Delaney and Jedinak amongst other, more recently Kouyate and Meyer.
I would also out Jairo for Ayew, Jairo isn't a Premier player too slow.

I think it has been established that he was a Dougie signing, apparently one for the future

The 2 aren’t mutually exclusive. Sure you can trust someone who may not be any good at the job and then you can not trust someone who turns out to be no good at the job. We have Freedman. I feel like I’m explaining basic logic to pre-school. ‘He’ll do fine. He’s Palace through and through.’ Firstly he isn’t, and secondly, there’s loads of Palace through and through people around, aren’t they therefore likely to succeed in this role? Mark Bright? He’s Palace through and through. He must be a good prospect. He advised Parish to get rid of Murray.

How long would he stay if he had a decent little run and was offered a job with newer facilities, a few extra pounds and child family safety?

There’s something seriously flawed at this club but unfortunately he’s in charge at the top so we just hope the manager in charge of the team is one who can untie the mess and make some sense of it all on the pitch so he can deliver the 17th place to keep us here and Parish’s retirement fund at its peak without stepping up with the next digital images of stadium plans.

You can liken the handling of football matters at Palace to the wires and cables at the back of your tv etc to the mains socket. It’s tidied once, you expect it to stay that way, but when you go back to it you find it’s a tangled mess. How did it happen? You take an age trying to untie it, you think you’ve found the solution, only you leave it again, confident and pleased it’s once again solved, only it isn’t, and worse is really you knew it wouldn’t be because you’ve experienced this multiple times before.
