So total saving c£15k a week. Next idea?? With Ayew it depends if we have a clause allowing us to cancel similar to Chelsea with Abraham at Villa. If Cardiff want Mutch they are EPL too so will probably pay all his wages if a loan or we will release him by consent and he signs with them on a longer contract. Solorth we may have to pay a percentage of wages. this will be slightly less than 100k quoted probably about 40k in total from solorth and mutch plus Ayew who was on 50k at swansea

What transfer policy?

We are losing too many points because of our poor finishing. I really wouldn't want to have to rely upon the return of Benteke or Wickham with their track records. Ayew and Sorloth are not even worth a space on the subs bench.

I would imagine the least we expect is a striker surely?? We've spent the last 18 months without one... Surely we can expect one can't we??
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

A lot I imagine will depend on Roy and Steve's confidence as to whether Bentenke can become a regular goal scorer again, and whether Wickham can stay fit. Furthermore, if both are fit and ready come January and we can't sell or loan them or Sorloth then there is no space for a fifth striker (if we can't cancel Ayew's loan). Personally I think Sorloth is the most likely to leave as he is the only one who is fit and there would probably be clubs outside of the PL willing to take him on loan.

A goal scorer and a winger for under 15m? Interested who you have in mind as I can not see us getting a proven goalscorer for that amount, Originally posted by TheArmaniCode
I'm not even asking for much. One good goalscorer and maybe a winger. That's it. Play your cards right and you could get that for less than £15m. And if you need wages, cancel Ayew's loan, ship Mutch off to Cardiff and send Sorloth on loan to the Championship. That'll save you at least £100k a week on wages right there. Done. The fees for players that we would be willing to leave wouldn't add much to the coffers !

It seems to me that Roy has no say in who comes in or leaves . Roy just has to get on with what is given to him
