We all thought all was lost and we'd be leaving gallant losers up to that moment. When Gray scored that goal I just knew we were going to go on and win. Liverpool did too. It was the moment they realised we were not going to buckle. NOT TODAY SCOUSERS!

I won’t mention all the usual obvious ones again, but a random one that always springs to mind for me is, Steve Lovell scoring the winning goal away to Wrexham in 1981, I was a regular away traveller back then and we hadn’t won away for 18 months, although 6 months of that was 2 close seasons, but it still seemed a heck of a long time and so when Lovell popped up with a late winner and jumped up on the fence in front of us it’s still up there as a special moment for me as all 50 odd of us went mental.

For me it certainly wasn't my first ever home game (0-0 against Derby) or first ever away game (0-0 against Birmingham).
"It's ok postman , he'll lick you to death" "That isn't really that comforting , I still end up dead !!" |

I was lucky enough to be there, age 16. All FA Cup ‘moments’. I'm voting for Swindlehurst - you were lucky to be there YT

Chelsea at home 1969 was my first game (aged 7) The Holmesdale was full so my dad and I ended up in the Whitehorse. Don't remember anything about the game (just as well) as I spent the entire match looking at the packed terrace at the other end. Spent the next 50years standing and sitting in my beloved Holmesdale.
