According to Wikipedia, his father was English and he was born in Enfield. I'm not sure that having a Philippine mother counts as being "from the Philippines". He was featured on Football Focus not too long ago about his journey into the Cardiff team from the lower leagues and his early choice to play for the Philippines- which he stated was more attractive than a chance to say play for England despite being born, raised and living in England. So yes JRW2, idea of him being "from the Philippines" paints a slightly different picture if NOT heavily elaborated!

The Cardiff goalkeeping coaches have been teaching him not to move his feet too much in certain circimstances. He moved around too much so he couldn't spring as much as he needed to so they have taught him to be more still at times.Warnock signed him from Walsall on a Free.

Considering he had been out for so long, I thought Wickham showed how useful he is compared to the others. His turn and shot was good, and I thought he had scored at that point. A great touch off to get Wilf running through one on one with their keeper, only to be denied with a last ditch tackle. A more physical threat that produced at least one corner. He can only (hopefully) get more match fit - he did look like he carrying more weight than usual.

Thought first half both teams were as bad as each other. If that chance had been taken by Townsend in the first couple of minutes then we would have won easily. Should have put it away for which we have been guilty about all season with the easy chances. Meyer for me was poor again and disappointed with him with his way over shot when he should have passed it :-) Second half we wasted lots of chances when fully dominant. Very frustrating after the Man City win :-(

Koyate and Macca ran teh show yet again...they're now showing to be a great partnership, breaking up play and setting up attacks. Meyer is the glue that keeps the posession ticking over, though I'm getting concerned that he's not gelling with the team...you dont see him over celebrating goals unlike the others, he's often teh last to teh huddle. Wilf...if he stopped f'ing whinging and stuck to the task he'd be a £100m player...getting close to the time to sell; however with Wickham now back and Wilf back on the wing we should us being more of a threat from now on. Wickham had a decent cameo, some nice touches and caused their 2 CB's trouble. Thought their no.4 was IMMENSE...could see him in a back 3 with Tomkins and Sakho!

Wickham coming on caused quite a stir but in truth he was owned by the centre backs. Also seems incapable of jumping, never looked like getting above Cardiff's tall men. Have to disagree. He was about a foot higher when flicking one on in the penalty area. I thought he was OK for first run out - though he is slow

( If he hadn't scored last week he would probably have crossed to one of the two unmarked players to his right In 165 league appearances he has scored just 7 times with a shot from within the penalty area

Not too disappointed with a draw,if it means we get grounded after the city game and back on fire for the chelsea game, much rather pick up the points against them than neils boys!

Well, a frustrating afternoon Cardiff looked poor to start with but it was a classic Warnock approach, absorb the pressure and pray for a goal against the run of play. The Cardiff centre backs were excellent, especially Bamba. Wilf kicked around a lot, taking it in turns I think. Decent crowd, Cardiff did their part too. Much hilarity at half time as the announcer said the kids doing the penalties were from Leicester. The Cardiff fans were pretty jovial. HF trying hard again but not enough of them to really build the atmosphere. Wickham coming on caused quite a stir but in truth he was owned by the centre backs. Also seems incapable of jumping, never looked like getting above Cardiff's tall men. Not such a target man as Benteke. It could all have been so different if Wickham's first touch had been a foot to the right. Certainly would have caused quite a stir if Wickham came on with three legs!
