Ambrose and Townsend the two best goals I’ve seen scored for Palace. Tough to pick a winner out of those two, but Andros probably sneaks it on technical difficulty.

Best goal I saw live was Palace at Chelsea in the days of the shed. We were 1-0 up from a scrambled goal when much like yesterday Chelsea cleared their lines only for a Palace player to volley it into the back of the net. I maybe wrong but I think it was Billy Gilbert. Sadly there were no cameras at the game. I was in the shed end as a guest of a Chelsea friend. As the ball hit the back of the net and the snarls started my friend put his hand on my shoulder and said "don't you dare." He was right I had forgotten where I was and was about to over celebrate. I think the game ended in a draw not that I cared the goal was worth the admission. Ah the shed such a lovely place full of nice people. Update: Edited by Badger11 (23 Dec 2018 3.44pm)

Andros has hit three of the best goals of the season to date - away at West Brom in the League Cup, against Burnley, and yesterday's scorcher. His goal yesterday certainly ranks among the best both in terms of the technical skill involved, but also the context. It's just a shame there is no filmed record of Jim Cannon's hit against Ipswich in 1979.
I would also put Wilf's solo effort away to Huddersfield this season very high on my list.

Hoppo and Ambrose are the first that spring to mind for me, slightly more left field but I remember a corky from a player called Nicky Rizzo Vs Norwich in 98/99, a good 40 yarder from Steve Staunton Vs Tranmere in around 2001.

Maybe one of you can help, I seem to remember a great goal scored by us at the Sainsbury's end about 20 years by a player who was either on loan from Liverpool or just signed from Liverpool. Anyone help me here?
