Can't, got sent off playing for U23's, scored a cracking goal tho AND didnt get injured

All part of his plan.

Score a great goal and then get himself sent off so he doesn't get injured. Roy should start him now.

Red card won't affect Prem games.

I am amazed Wickham hasnt been on the bench again since his latest setback as he looks fine in training videos that they post.

Maybe he will get on the bench at least.

Ayew has one benefit over Sorloth which is he can carry the ball a bit and has ok close control and can pick a pass. He is not a striker though.

I would be happy to see James Daly be given the start ahead of Sorloth, but if we must, then Sorloth up top flanked by Ayew and Townsend and at least do something different.

Drop McArthur out, and if Meyer is not performing bring Jimmy Mac on at half time.

At the back its obviously Kelly in for hot head Tomkins.

McArthur possibly the only player who gives 100% every game and you prefer Ayew instead.
The mind boggles at some suggestions.

Shall we play Sako up front because he gives 100%?

Lets try playing players in their proper positions.

Jimmy Mac is not a winger, it is not about Ayew for McArthur but someone has to drop out when a striker is actually played in this team.

I believe Max Meyer can be an important part of our attacking play and someone has to drop out. As I said bring Jimmy Mac on at the half to actually have someone on the bench who can change a game and offer a different option.

He is not going to drop Luka so who drops out of this your midfield, Painter, to play a striker?

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

I'd rather play PVA upfront than Sorloth. At least you feel he wants to score.

I am unsure about the terms of Ayyew’s loan, but if there is the ability to hand him back to Swansea in January the club will have probably made a decision by now.
If the intention is to hand him back e.g to free up another loan space I see little point in involving him.
I wouldn’t mind seeing Sorloth involved from the start even though he’s been unimpressive so far in his substitute appearances.
I would also to see Wickham some game time as he’s prepared to shoot at goal.

The OP suggestion of Ayew/Sorloth is not as daft as it sounds with a midfield four of Milivojevic, Kouyate, Meyer left and Townsend right. Jimmy Mc to come on at half time to replace whoever if we are not performing. I agree we need to be playing people in their correct positions. The worse thing that can happen is we lose which we have managed quite successfully with two wingers up top.

If Wickham is fit and ready to go I would play him instead of Sorloth. We literally have nothing to lose and everything to gain by trying something different........... but don’t hold your breath, this Roy we are talking about here!

Or trying to show he has commitment, maybe?

I think start Ayew on the wing and play Sorloth up top.

Sako left in the summer, now in West Brom reserves.

The OP suggested dropping McArthur for Sorloth or Ayew, our most consistent midfielder. There is no way either should be in the team over him, I don't care if he isn't a winger, he is just a far better player than both of them.

Playing players in their so called proper positions is easy if they all had same ability level, Roy hasn't that option. Patterson at Cardiff was signed as a full back, now leading the line and scoring.

I suggested dropping Meyer - not MacArthur.
Play with JM, Kouyate and Milo in the middle to give some defensive solidarity and then have Townsend as the connection to the two upfront.
Without Zaha, we are incapable of playing with just one upfront as we don’t have a good enough striker or ball carrier.
Meyer can then come on and into the role behind the strikers if and when necessary.
