Carroll played for the free kick, as he did on a number of occasions but ffs let it go! He wasn't going to change the decision after the game was he!!
Anyone else think Roy may have lost the changing room and Wilf does not look interested (is it playing out of position or is it he has had enough!)

Yep, made me laugh when Meyer apparently bundled him to the ground. Had he stood firm Meyer would have bounced off him!

His substitutions are not making a huge amount of sense, or any sense to be quite honest, so maybe he has, although you do hear reports coming from the players saying what a good manager he is. Who knows, I think unless you are in the inner circle its difficult to make that call.

Exactly why I have always believed referees should be ex-players, who know all the tricks.

We have Kelly to fill in for Tomkins, but will Dann be fit enough to start. We were told both him and Wickham were ready for selection a week ago.

As far as Zaha is concerned, obviously a change of shape is required.

Also, will PVA be fit after going off yesterday ? Otherwise schlupp will be playing LB.

To be fair, Schlupp isn't a bad left back, he's just not that great when he plays in an advanced position.

I believe Roy looks completely lost. His face and lack of action brings memories of the England - Iceland game.

Doesn't mean too much that Wilf and Tomkins get a rest next weekend. We would have lost the game anyway.

I fear we will "celebrate" New Year rock bottom in the Premiership.

Bad time to miss these two in a game we may have won.
Now,before the year end,the only likely points are to come against Cardiff with heavy defeats anticipated against City and Chelsea.
Probably,we will be in the bottom 3 at the year end and beginning to wonder if Roy has lost his magic as we fall inevitably towards the Championship, unless there is a dramatic change in fortunes.

This must be a win on Boxing Day unless we win next Saturday which without these 2 is more difficult. Ironically Warnock was sacked the day after Boxing Day 2014 after a poor home performance against Soton. He had 15 points on the board.

Dann needs to come in and show the rest of the team how to put the ball in the net.

May just be the spark that is needed. Was on the bench for a Cup game but not seen since so assume he is an injury doubt and Kelly will come in.

and now won't be available for a game we might have won but probably won't now.
I am getting seriously fed up with Palace right now - sick of all of the s***e that goes on and this just makes it worse.

Well said.

I've been trying to imagine how the likes of Alex Ferguson, Arsene Wenger, George Graham and (for the really old) Stan Cullis would have dealt with this sort of indiscipline.
